About IONWAY
The Global EHS Program Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs across the IONWAY portfolio. This role involves executing strategic EHS initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of safety and wellbeing throughout the organization. The position also includes collaboration with Umicore and support for HQ functions such as Compliance, Industrial Hygiene, Mental Wellbeing, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
Responsibilities
Program Development & Implementation
- Responsible for preparing, implementing, and delivering EHS programs, including Environmental Management (with Seveso directive), REACH/CLP Procedure, and Process Safety Program.
- Support EHS needs in Due Diligence processes and coordinate follow-up actions with Umicore.
- Co-develop EHS strategy and budget with the Global EHS Manager.
- Lead programs such as Safety Culture, Management of High-risk Activity & LSR, and Mental Wellbeing initiatives.
- Support local EHS teams in deploying programs and ensuring compliance with national and international regulations.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, Procurement, and Supply Chain to integrate EHS into business operations.
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders and ensure follow-up on actions.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure alignment with IONWAY’s management system and legal requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation, training materials, and implementation tools for EHS programs and systems.
Training & Support
- Deliver training and internal communication on EHS, Industrial Hygiene, and Mental Wellbeing topics.
- Support local teams in resolving ongoing challenges and improving EHS systems.
Requirements
- University degree in EHS, Engineering, or related scientific disciplines (e.g., Chemistry, Mechanics, Electronics).
- Minimum 10 years of EHS experience, preferably in heavy industry.
- Proven project/program management experience; certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are a plus.
- Knowledge of management systems (ISO, FM/UL) and REACH/CLP procedures.
- Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Fluent in English (C1/C2) and Polish (B2/C1).
